US Standard Apparel is a vertically integrated knitwear manufacturer based in Vernon, California. We specialize in premium Made in USA blank t-shirts, sweatshirts, and fleece, as well as private label apparel production for brands and retailers.
What products do you manufacture?
We produce a range of knitwear garments, including:
- T-shirts
- Hoodies
- Crewneck Sweatshirts
- Sweatpants and Fleece bottoms
All garments are knit, cut, sewn, and finished in Los Angeles using high-quality materials and controlled production processes.
Do you offer private label manufacturing?
Yes. We provide full-service private label manufacturing,
including:
- Fabric development
- Pattern making and sampling
- Cut and sew production
- Garment dyeing and finishing
- Label setting and final packing
This allows brands to develop fully customized products beyond standard wholesale blanks.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Minimum order quantities vary depending on the fabric, garment type, and
level of customization.
This range is designed to support both emerging brands and
established companies looking for flexible domestic production.
We have no MOQ on our stocked blanks line.
Custom garment dye MOQ is 200 units per colorway. If the order quantity is below this, an additional $150 dye sample load fee will be assessed. We can develop custom colors for $50 per color/fabric.
Custom cut/sew MOQs vary by the make and fabric quality, but typically start at 500 units per body. If this is done in PFD, the goods can be broken into multiple colors.
What is your typical production timeline?
Production timelines vary by project, but generally include:
- Lab Dips: 1 to 2 weeks
- Dye Sampling: 1 to 2 weeks
- New Style Development: 2 to 4 weeks
- Cut/Sew Production: 4 to 8 weeks *Varies depending on the need for custom fabric
Timelines depend on fabric availability, order complexity,
and volume.
Where is your manufacturing located?
All production takes place in Vernon, California, within the Los Angeles apparel manufacturing hub.
Our facility includes in-house knitting, cutting, and sewing operations, allowing for greater control over quality and timelines. We partner with the best dyehouses and embellishment vendors in the city to ensure the highest-quality end product.
What does vertically integrated manufacturing mean?
Vertical integration means we control multiple stages of
production in-house, including:
- Fabric knitting
- Cutting and sewing
- Final finishing & QC
This results in:
- Greater consistency across production runs
- Faster turnaround times
- More flexibility for custom product development
Do you work with startups or only established brands?
We work with both emerging and established brands.
Our team supports clients at different stages, from early product development to full-scale production, with guidance on materials, construction, and manufacturing processes.
Can I develop custom labels?
We do not handle the direct development, production, and purchasing
of custom labels.
In lieu of this, we can connect you with our trusted label partner, Labeltex, which manufactures labels in LA and abroad.

Do you offer garment dyeing and finishing?
Yes. We provide garment dyeing and finishing services, which
allows for:

- Additional flexibility during production
Garment dyeing is commonly used for premium t-shirts and
fleece.
How does shipping work?
Shipping can be handled in multiple forms.
USSA can generate all shipping labels and add the cost of freight to your invoice.
Alternatively, we can utilize your shipping account number to generate the labels.
Our warehouse has a loading dock and a forklift for LTL shipments. Please share the BOL and pickup schedule, and we can facilitate the pickup for you.
